We took a Mediterranean cruise with seniors, visiting the Acropolis in Athens, Santorini, Taormina in Sicily, and Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia. While the scenery was incredible, we quickly realized how challenging steep hills and long walking distances can be when traveling with seniors. This trip gave us a much clearer sense of what actually works (and what doesn’t) when traveling with older family members.
Our journey began with a flight from Los Angeles to Tokyo. After landing, we boarded the Shinkansen and headed north to Hokkaido, where we went skiing in Niseko. From Hokkaido, we flew to Osaka and used it as our base to explore the Kansai region — including unforgettable day trips to Kyoto, Nara, and Kobe — before wrapping up the trip and flying back to Los Angeles.
We rented a car and completed a full Iceland Ring Road trip, exploring glaciers, waterfalls, black sand beaches, and ice caves along the way. Highlights included snowmobiling on glaciers, soaking in geothermal hot springs, and chasing the Northern Lights at night. Our iternary made Iceland’s dramatic landscapes enjoyable while remaining manageable for families.
Our Southern Hemisphere journey began in Sydney and Canberra, then continued to Queenstown for alpine scenery and winter activities. We visited Hobbiton, experienced New Zealand’s stunning landscapes, and ended the trip in Fiji for a relaxing tropical escape. This trip blended city exploration, outdoor adventure, and island relaxation.
We took a short family trip to Washington, D.C., exploring the National Mall, Smithsonian museums, and iconic landmarks like the Lincoln Memorial and Capitol. The city is highly walkable, educational, and perfect for kids learning about American history. This itinerary focuses on maximizing a quick visit, combining major sights, and cultural experiences for families visiting the U.S. capital.
During spring break, we set sail on a Caribbean cruise, visiting seven islands, including Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Martin, St. Kitts, and Barbados. This itinerary provides a way to explore multiple destinations without constant packing, ideal for families looking for a relaxed vacation with a balance of adventure and convenience.
Our adventure began in Paris and unfolded into the heart of the Alps, from Geneva to Chamonix, where we skied beneath towering peaks. We rode a glacier train into a world of blue ice caves, then continued to Zermatt before crossing into Italy to explore Milan and Lake Como. After skiing in glamorous St. Moritz, we returned to Paris, completing a breathtaking European loop.
Though we explored Tahiti and Moorea, Bora Bora completely stole our hearts. With its turquoise lagoons, soft beaches, and iconic overwater bungalows, it felt like living inside a postcard. We spent our days there exploring the crystal-clear oceans, creating a once-in-a-lifetime vacation. Our visit was relaxing and comforting, and felt exactly like the tropical paradise we had been expecting.
We kicked off our UK family road trip in London, visiting Buckingham Palace and witnessing the Changing of the Guard. A quick Eurostar ride took us to Paris to marvel at the Eiffel Tower and enjoy a Seine river cruise. Back in England, we drove through Cambridge, Newcastle, Manchester, and concluded at Windsor Castle, creating lasting family memories across iconic British sights.
Our Maui family adventure began in Kahului, where we snorkeled at the Maui Ocean Center and explored South Maui’s beaches. We drove the scenic Hana Road to catch a breathtaking Haleakala sunset, visited Kahekili Beach, and enjoyed island life. Each day offered new discoveries and quality family time, making Maui an enriching and joyful Hawaiian escape.

We spent Christmas in Banff and Lake Louise, experiencing one of our coldest but most memorable trips, with temperatures dropping to -20°C. From skating on frozen lakes to exploring Johnston Canyon’s icy waterfalls, the scenery was unforgettable. We also skied all three resorts in the "Ski Big 3": Banff Sunshine, Lake Louise, and Mt. Norquay.
We visited Walt Disney World in Orlando during Thanksgiving break, taking on all four parks in four days. With careful Genie+ planning, we minimized long waits and experienced most major rides.
